Listening In

A Gentle Inquiry into Body, Soul, and Mind Awareness

(Mind • Body • Soul - Three Guides, One You)

We each hold inner wisdom — but we’re rarely taught how to hear it.

This isn’t about labeling yourself.
This is about pausing long enough to notice…
how your inner world is speaking today.

There’s no one “right” way to listen.
Some feel it in the body.
Others sense it through the soul.
Many only hear the mind - and that’s okay too.

You may not be sure which voice is which. That’s part of the journey.

Sometimes what you think is your body may actually be your soul.
Or what feels like your soul may be a pattern rooted in fear or survival.

This work isn’t about always getting it “right.”
It’s about learning to listen differently.

You’re here. That means something inside you is already listening,

How Are You Listening Today?

Check in with each of these statements. What feels most true for you right now?

1. When something feels “off” in my life, I usually...

☐ Feel it in my body — a tight chest, a knot in my stomach, restlessness, etc.

☐ Sense it quietly — like an inner nudge, a shift in energy, or a hard-to-name resistance.

☐ Think about it — replaying things in my head, trying to solve or understand it.

 2. When I’m making decisions, I tend to...

☐ Notice body sensations — I feel into what feels heavy, light, open, or closed.

☐ Wait for inner clarity — it comes as a vision, deep knowing, or calm yes.

☐ Rely on logic — I plan, analyze, or look for advice that makes the most sense.

3. When strong emotions rise (grief, joy, anger, fear) I try to process by…

☐ I noticing and feeling the sensations in my body — my breath changes, my muscles tense, I feel shaky or still.

☐ I sense a message — something deeper feels like it’s trying to get my attention.

☐ I move into my head — strategizing, distracting, or talking myself through it.

4. When something feels right, it usually feels like...

☐ Calm in my body — lightness, stillness, or ease in my chest or gut.

☐ A yes — even if I can’t explain it, there’s a deep peace or resonance.

☐ A clear plan — the decision fits my goals and makes logical sense.

5. When I override my inner voice(s), it often shows up as...

☐ Physical signs — headaches, tension, fatigue, or digestive upset.

☐ Emotional disconnection — sadness, irritability, or a foggy feeling.

☐ Mental noise — spiraling thoughts, overthinking, or second-guessing.

6. The kind of guidance I tend to trust the most is...

☐ I notice how something physically feels.

☐ Images, dreams, a knowing, or resonance.

☐ Facts, steps, plans, or what others suggest.

7. When I try to follow inner guidance, I sometimes feel...

☐ Unclear — my body feels mixed signals, or I second-guess what I sense.

☐ Unsure — I can’t tell if it’s real intuition or just a passing emotion.

☐ Disengaged — it feels like there’s only mental chatter, nothing else.

The Voices Within

We each receive inner guidance in different ways.
Your most dominant voice may shift depending on the moment, your history, or your healing.

Here are a few ways your inner voices might speak:

The Mind

Often loud, often fast.
It wants to solve, protect, and predict.
It uses thoughts, logic, questions, plans.
It asks: “What should I do?”

You might notice:
• Loops of thought
• “What if…” questions
• A drive to research, plan, or get advice

The Body

Quiet, but constant.
It often speaks through sensations, energy, movement, pain, and stillness.
Everyone is unique so it could be something completely different like images, a voice.

You might notice:
• Gut feelings
• Shoulder tension or fluttering in the chest
• A deep sigh or feeling of "rightness"

The Soul

Subtle and sacred.
It may show up through images, longings, symbols, dreams, felt energy, a whisper, or direct knowing.
It could feel similar to the body — but carries a deeper peace.

You might notice:
• A deep “yes” with no explanation
• An energy or a still voice
• Clear, calm messages in stillness or sleep

Your Next Steps…

Take time to reflect…

What surprised me as I answered these questions?

Which inner voice do I tend to hear most often?

Which voice feels harder to trust or access?

When do I feel most connected to myself?

What might happen if I gave myself more space to listen?

Then, Sit in Stillness…

Before you try to decide, fix, or figure anything out - pause.

  • Sit somewhere quiet.

  • Close your eyes.

  • Place your hand on your heart or belly.

  • Breathe.

Then ask:

“Is there a part of me that wants to speak right now?”
“What do I feel, sense, or hear… if I just listen?”

You don’t have to label what arises.
You don’t have to understand it yet.
Even if nothing comes - that is something, too.

This is a practice. Not a performance.
